I look at true Christianity as a daily living relationship with God, through His Son, Jesus Christ. I would not be writing this Prayer Studies Guide if it was not for prayer. Some one years ago prayed for me. Some ones concern to ask GOD to save my soul through his Son, Jesus and make his presence very real to me. Then GOD through his Holy Spirit at a Crusade in 1970 convicted me that I needed his Son, Jesus. This is where my relationship with him began.
Prayer has brought me to this very point right now. It is prayers over the years that has kept me as a Christian. Even when I was a Prodigal Son for many years it was some ones Prayers that brought me back into the correct relationship again. Prayer is always going to be a major part of my Life. Prayer is the True Christian Life.
“Base your happiness on your hope in Christ. When trials come, endure them patiently; steadfastly maintain the habit of prayer.” Romans 12:12 (Phillips)
To maintain the Habit we must study Prayer and what it is all about. Jesus lived in Prayer. His whole life involved communicating with His Father in Prayer and doing what the Father wanted Him to do.
But this I know: God answers prayer.
I know not if the blessing sought
Will come in just the guise I thought.
I leave my prayer to Him alone
