Prayer Positions
When you pray
are you supposed to sit? stand? kneel? or what? There's no one right
position to pray in. . . praying on your knees bring no more answers
than walking as you pray. . . the condition of your "heart" is what
matters! God is listening to those who have a "clean and humble
heart". I do believe when I Pray for a long period you should
kneel in respect especially in the House of GOD, Church or Sanctuary.
Paul mentions that we as Christians
should be in a constant Prayer mode. This would be impossible on your
knees or bowing all the time. You will see in scripture that Jesus
lifted his head toward Heaven. David lifted his eyes to Heaven.
Lets take this in a new direction. Many
who came to Jesus to get Healed. Matthew 9:18 says, there came a certain
ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is
now dead: but come and lay thy hand up on her, and she shall
live. You can give worship to GOD in any form. Only GOD can
raise a person from the dead. This was a Prayer from his heart. Take
Matthew 8:2, And behold there came a Leper and worshipped him,
saying, Lord if thou wilt canst make me clean.
Prayer is speaking from your Heart. It
can be vocal or silent. So you can see giving Praise, Honor or Thanks is
Prayer. Sometimes you will feel you need to kneel or bow other times
just saying it. For our private Praying it should be on how you feel at
the time in your Prayer Closet. Some can not kneel, you have a physical
reason so you have to sit. You may be laid up in bed on your back. "It
is the speaking and your Heart response that counts."
Here
are just a few of the Prayer Positions found in the Bible. . .

home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three

"Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may

heaven.
"Any method,
absolutely any method, is your method if you find it opens doors
toward Heaven and helps you gain contact with GOD. And it is not your
method,
no matter who does it, if it does not succeed in doing that".
